This unit is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding regarding the fundamental construction materials, different construction methods and services installed within buildings.

Topics included in this unit are: understand features and properties of construction materials: eg aggregates; concrete; timber; steel; brick, soil description and classification, methods used to create superstructures and the range of building services.
